Daftar Isi:
- The research investigatesthe use of four corners debate strategy toward students’ reading comprehension on expository text. This research conducted based on the research questions 1). How is the students’ reading comprehension? 2). What is the effect of four corners debate strategy on students’ reading comprehension on expository text?.The objectives of this research is 1). To know the students’ reading comprehension.2).To know the effect of four corners debate strategy on students’ reading comprehension on expository text. The method used in this research is quasi experimental method using t-test. To find out the significant difference in the students’ reading comprehension between the experimental class and control class through the score of pre-test and post-test. The research conducted in the second grade (XI) of MA Nurul Falah Bojong Pandan, and take students’ from class XI A consist of 30 students as the sampleof experimental class and XI B consist of 30 students as the sample of control class. The result of the research shows that use of four corners debate strategy has significant effect on students’ reading comprehension on expository text. It can be seen from the result that researcher has got the mean of pre-test 63,16and post-test score 75,5 from the experimental class and the pre-test score is 55,16 and post-test score is 66,33 from control class. The writer got t_o = 4,93df = 58, t_(table )5% = 1,67. It mean H_a (alternative hypothesis) of the research is accepted that there is significant improvement of using four corners debate strategy toward students reading comprehension on expository text. From the result of the test, it can be concluded that the four corners debate strategy can improve students’ reading comprehension on expository text and also can be applied in teaching learning process, especially in improving students’ reading comprehension.
