  • This research entitled: “Improving Students’ Listening Skills Through Dictogloss Technique (A Classroom Action Research at XI Grade of SMK Insan Mulya Kibin, Kab. Serang)”, the research is conducted based on the objectives of research: 1). To know students listening skills with dictogloss technique at SMK Insan Mulya, 2). To know the improvement of using dictogloss technique in listening subject at the XI grade of SMK Insan Mulya. The method in this research is CAR (Classroom Action Research) which uses cycle model as follow: planning, action, observation and reflection. This research was conducted in 3 cycles, for doing this research the researcher has chosen XI grade of SMK Insan Mulya for population which consist about 74 students, for sample it will choose 1 class, it is XI grade of Akuntansi consist 22 students. The researcher conducted this research from 17 October 2016 until 04 November 2016. From 3 cycles of Classroom Action Research conducted, the researcher concludes that, in the Cycle I, the researcher found that 3 students were good, 10 students were fair, 9 students were low. The Cycle II, the researcher found that 13 students very good, 9 students were good. And in the Cycle III, the researcher found that 20 students very good, 2 students were good. The average from Cycle I is 40.90, Cycle II is 68.86 and Cycle III is 81.81. And the researcher concluded that in each cycle the students have experienced an increase in listening skills with Dictogloss Technique. The result of this research is the students can understand to listen well using Dictogloss Technique. Dictogloss Technique can enable them listen well because it helps them in improving English listening in the class.
