- This research investigates English day program in speaking improvement. This research is conducted based on the main problem 1) How is the students‟ speaking improvement? 2) How is the implementation of English Day Program on speaking improvement? This res earch aims at: 1) Knowing how the students‟ speaking improvement during join English day program in their school 2) Knowing the implementation of English Day Program on students‟ speaking improvement. To answer the question, the writer collects the data by using observation, interview and test. The oral test is used to know how is students‟ speaking ability and their speaking improvement. The writer takes the second grade of Islamic Senior High School DarulIman which consists of 26 students as respondents o f the research. The data is calculated by formula: P = x100%. To find out the level of percentage in implementation of English day program use the measurement as follow; 1) 83% - 105 % is excellent 2) 65% - 82 % is very good 3)50% - 64% is good 4)33% - 49% is enough 5) 16% - 32% is low. The result of this research states that after calculating the data, the students‟ speaking improvement through implementing English day program is 63, 08%. It concludes that the implementation of English day program on students ‟ speaking improvement at the second year of Islamic Senior High School Darul Iman can help students in understanding and improving their speaking ability
