  • This research investigates the Effect of Collaborative Strategic Reading on Students’ Reading Comprehension of Narrative Text. Specially, this research conducted based on the main problems: 1) How is the students’ reading comprehension at the third grade of MTs. Darul Falah Kibin-Serang? 2) How is the effect of Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) on students’ reading comprehension of narrative text? In reference to the mentioned research problem, this research aimed at 1) To know the students’ reading comprehension at the third grade of MTs. Darul Falah Kibin-Serang. 2) To know the effect of Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) on students’ reading comprehension of narrative text. To answer the research question, the researcher takes class IX B, as experimental class which consist of 30 students, and class IX A as control class which also consist of 30 students. The class IX B as experimental class and IX A as control class are taken as sample. Since the research uses experimental method, the data is gathered through pre-test and post-test. The result of the analysis of the research shows that the value of to is (5,09), which is higher than tt with level of significance 5% (2,00) or with level of significance 1% (2,66), since to = 5,09 > 2,00 ot to 5,09 > 2,66 it means that the researcher reject H0 which means there is no the influence of using CSR on students’ reading comprehension of narrative text and accept Ha which means there is the influence of using CSR on students’ reading comprehension of narrative text.
