However, most research has not considered the effect of teaching through PQ4R strategy on students&#x2019; learning comprehension.&#xD; The present of this paper is to prove whether it has an effect or not. Therefore, it attempts to answer the research questions: 1.)How is the application of PQ4R strategy in learning activity?, 2.) How is the students' learning interest in the English studies at the second grade of MTs Al-Barokah Pasirjaya, Kota Tangerang?, 3.) How is the influence of PQ4R strategy on students' learning interest in the English studies in MTs Al-Barokah Pasirjaya, Kota Tangerang?.&#xD; It also attempts to reach some goalssuch 1.) To find out the application of PQ4R strategy in the English language study at MTs Al-Barokah Pasirjaya, Kota Tangerang, 2.) To find out the students' learning interest through PQ4R strategy in the English studies at second grade of MTs Al-Barokah Pasirjaya, Kota Tangerang3.) To find out the effectiveness of the PQ4R strategy on students' learning interest in the English study.&#xD; A descriptive research is a research method that seeks to describe and interpret the objects according to what as it is, and the subject of this study is just one class consisting of 29 students as a sample. While questionnaire and documentation are the research instruments to gain a significant data of this study.&#xD; The research findings indicate that there were statistically difference between students&#x2019; tests performance.
