- The objective of this study is to check the influence Applying Think - Aloud method to students Reading comprehension. The research is also aimed at analyzing if there are significance differences to the students after being taught by using Think - Aloud and also to know whether Think - Aloud is able to enhance students’ awareness on their Reading comprehension. The study was conducted at SMAN 2 Serang in Oktober - November 2017. The population of this study at the ten grade were 62 students. There are two class Ips 4 and Ips 6. Each class consisted of 31 students. The writer used two me thod on students reading comprehension in narrative text. He used Think Aloud method in class IPS 4 as the experimental class and class IPS 6 as the controlled class. The method used in this study was quasi - experimental. The data were taken by giving pre - t est and post - test reading text both of classes. The result of the calculation statistical have already known that the mean score of experiment class was 53.38 in pre - test and 75.96 in post - test. But the mean score of control class wa s 54.67 in pre - test and 66.77 post - test. Seeing calculation above the experiment class gets increase on 22.58 points. It is better than the control class get increase on 12.1 points. Therefore, it was concluded that there was a significance effect of applying th ink aloud method on students reading commprehension in narrative text at the Ten Grade of SMAN 2 Serang
