  • This research is generally attempted to know and describe the differences between Sanguine student and Phlegmatic student in their achievement in speaking skill at Second Grade Student’s Senior High School SMAN 6 Kota Serang. This research conducted based on the main problem. 1) How is the student ability in speaking English? 2) What are differences between sanguine and phlegmatic on speaking achievement? 3) How is the comparison of the achievement between sanguine and phlegmatic personality? And the aims of this research are; to find out the student’s ability in their speaking and to know the differences between sanguine and phlegmatic personality on speaking achievement. The method use in this research is quantitative research and comparative analysis technique. This research is started by collecting theory. After giving the students personality test taken from standardized test by Florence Littauer and then classifying the sanguine and phlegmatic student. Then, the researcher is classifying students’ personality and give the test for comparing both personality with their speaking score achievement. In analyzing the data, first step is finding average of sanguine and phlegmatic student’s speaking score and deviation standard to do homogeneity test. After doing homogeneity test, t-test is used to prove the significant data. And the last step to do is answering hypothesis of the research. The result of analysis data between variable and using t-test formula showed that the value of to (t-observation) was 17.09. In the t-table, score degree of freedom of 5% is 2.04 and score degree of freedom 2.81. It can be conclude that is higher than t-table (2.04< 17.09>2.81). Based on statistic calculation, it could be conclude that sanguine and phlegmatic students have different in English speaking skill achievement.
