- This research is mainly aimed at finding out whether there is effectiveness of teaching vocabulary by using Simon Says game or not ( An Experimental Research at the Second Grade of Mts Al - Fath Cilegon). The research was conducted ba sed on the statements of problem 1). How is students’ vocabulary at the Second grade of Mts Al - Fath Cilegon ? 2). How is the applicantion of Simon Say game increasing stududent’s vocabulary ? 3). How is the effectiveness of Simon Say game increasing stude nt’s vocabulary ? in reference to the afro - mentioned rese arch problem, this research is aimed at 1). To know student’s vocabulary at the Second grade of Mts Al - Fath Cilegon 2). To know the application of Simon Say game in improving student’s vocabulary 3) . To know the effectiveness of Simon Say game in improving student’s vocabulary. This research used experimental method. The sample of this research is the second grade of Mts Al - Fath Cilegon. In this research, the writer used true - experimental method whi ch has experimental and control group, and has both pre and post - test, the population is the second grade students of Mts Al - Fath Cilegon. The writer collected the data from 60 students spread in two classes, one class as the experimental group and another one is as the control group, while class VIII - C as the experimental group and class VIII - B as the control group are taken the sample. The data gathered through pre - test and post - test. The result of the analysis of the research show that value of t table with level significance 5%= 1,67 and with level significance 1%= 2,39 so t account = 5, 54. So, 1,67 < 5,54 and > 2,39. By looking at the result of the research analysis if t 0 > t t the alternative hypothesis it mean there is significance effectiveness on Simon Says game toward students’ vocabulary.
