  • The objective of this study is to get the empirical data about the effect of using song lyrics on students’ English Phrasal Verb Mastery at the Eleventh grade of MA. Daar El-Istiqomah. The method used in this paper was quantitative method the quasy experimental research design. The sampling technique used in this study was quota sampling. The sample of this study was 70 students taken from the eleventh grade of MA. Daar El-Istiqomah Serang Banten, which are 35 students as experimental class and 35 students as controlled class. In collecting data, the writer conducted post-test about phrasal verb that using song lyrics test which consisted of 25 multiple choices. In this research there were six meetings for treatments include pre-test and post-test that use song lyrics as the main subject for learning phrasal verb in the class. The result of the research states that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The use of song lyrics is better than those who do not use song lyrics technique. By df = 68 and analyzed by using t-test, the research stated that there is effectiveness of using song lyrics on students English phrasal verb mastery, because is bigger than . Than in 5% and 1% the with significant level 5% is 1,99 and significant level 1% is 2,65 where as is 22,59. so it means that is 22,59 > (1,99) in 5%, and (22,59) > (2,65) in 1%. It means that both variables have the significant correlation. In other word, use song lyrics on students phrasal verb mastery is absolutely effective. This research find out wether song lyrics can be an alternative to develop students Englih phrasal verb mastery in the eleventh Grade of MA. Daar El-Istiqomah Sukawana-Serang.
