  • This research investigates the students speaking ability in english daily conversation, specifically it is written in the tittle of this research paper. The tittle of research is An analysis of student’s learning strategy in english daily conversation. (A case study at first grade of Al-Rahmah Islamic boarding school). This research is aimed at; 1) To know student’s learning strategy in vocabulary mastery at first grade of MA AL-Rahmah; 2) To explore application of conversation practice at firsr grade of MA AL-Rahmah. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive which uses some techniques to collect the data using test. The object of this research is the first grade of students of senior high school of MA AL-Rahmah. The time of this research is two days in the even semester 2017. The result of This research shows that Student’s memorizing vocabulary in English daily conversation at first grade of MA Al-Rahmah is good, it has seemed the score of student’s conversation, there are five students get extremely good score, 24 students get good score, while the others are under 41 – 60 score. It means that most students learning strategy using memorizing vocabulary in english daily conversation is good. In reference to the result of the study, for further research, the writer recomends that the student’s learning strategy using vocabulary mastery can contribute in speaking daily conversation and their motivation in studing english.
