The Use of Vlog as Media in Learning Speaking in The Pandemic Era (A Case Study at TBI Students of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanudin Banten)

- This research aims to know the implementation steps of vlogs on students' English speaking skills and the students' improving speaking ability in English through vlogs. This study uses a qualitative method adapted from the theory of Lexy J. Moelong. This research was conducted on 10 students of the Department of English Tadris (TBI) Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten Islamic State University in the Academic Year 2020/2021. The writer used three kinds of instruments to collect the data. The instrument is observation, documentation, and questionnaire. The implementation of vlog for media in learning speaking is suitable for the students because the students can implement and develop their speaking skills. They believe that after making this vlog, their speaking skills will be even better. Although there were obstacles encountered during the learning process, the students were able to overcome them until the task was completed. Last but not least, the students mostly witnessed it is very accessible media in this pandemic situation.
