  • The purpose of this research was to determine whether there was a significant difference between the vocabulary enrichment of students who were taught using picture card and those who were not taught by picture card at SMPN 5 Kramatwatu. This research uses a pre-experimental design. The population was taken from the seventh grade students of SMPN 5 Kramatwatu. The number of samples in this research were 30 students. In collecting data, researchers used tests and documentation. The results showed that the significant value (2-tailed) 0.00<0.05 indicates a significant difference between the initial variable and the final variable. Therefore, from the above calculations, it can be concluded that there are significant differences. The researcher concluded that the use of picture card media can help students enrich vocabulary in learning English.
