- This research is aimed to identily the effect of board characteristics an bank performance measured by retun on assets and net interest margine. The units of analysis are 13 bank registed on the indonesian stock exchange for the periode of 2003 - 2006. The results are as follow: 1. consistent to the previous reserch, the studi found that board size is positively related ti bank's performance, 2). proportional of board with banking experience is negatively related to bank's performance 3). board meeting is positively related with bank's performance.
