- capability of bengkuang (Pacyrizus erosus urban) starch as a bindins asent in acetaminophen tablet has been evaluated. The starch was extracted from "bengkuang" tuber that was crushed and pressed. The liquid of pressing process was precipitated, washed, dried, and sieved. The powder of the starch was used as a binding agent in acetaminophen tablet. Then capability of the starch as binder in acetaminophen was evaluated and compared with the cassava starch. Result of this evaluation shoq/ed that the "bengkuang" starch could be used as binder in acetaminophen tablet and its capability was better than the cassava starch.
