- The five commercially available “gambir” in the West Sumatera were screened against the pine wood nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus. The highest activity was showed by “Gambir Sirih” with the MED (Minimum Effective Doses) 37.5 ppm. The activity was the higher than synthetics nematicidal morantel tartarate (MED 125 ppm), and with anthelminthic upixon (MED 5000 ppm). The nematicidal activity was done by “cotton-ball fungal mat”.
