- Concentration of Pb(II) in spring onions (Allium fistulosum L.) grown along Padang Panjang – Bukittinggi main road had been carried out. In this research, the samples were taken from three regions; Jambu Air, Padang Luar and Bukit Surungan. The dried samples were treated with nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide. Concentration of Pb(II) was measured by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric at wave length of 283,3 nm. The level of Pb(II) in Jambu Air 0,423 ppm, Padang Luar 0,410 ppm and Bukit Surungan 0,290 ppm. The value of Pb(II) resulted in this study did not exceed the maximum concentration of Pb(II) by Dirjen POM, Department of Health, Republic of Indonesia, which was 2,0 ppm. Statistical test by analysis of variance showed that concentration Pb(II) in various samples were different significantly (α = 0,5; F calculated > F critics).
