- The central nervous system stimulant avtivity of the ethanol extract of young areca nut (Areca catechu L.) has been studied on mice. The observation was done by assassing the indurance, motor activity, curiousity, sleeping induced time and sleeping time in many variable of doses. The result showed that ethanol extract of 500 mg/ Kg bodyweight dose was significant statistically (P<0,05). Key word : Areca catechu, sistem saraf pusat, Automatic Hole Board
