- Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem expands rapidly and it is predicted that it would connect 5-20 billion devices by 2020.The amount of data collected from these devices would be exaggerating. Current IoT ecosystem generally use centralized model. This model has some weakness, such as high maintenance cost. Distributed system may offer a solution. Blockchain, a distributed ledger technology, enable us to have a peer-to-peer network where non-trusting members can interact with each other without a trusted intermediary. This paper aims to explore the potential integration of Blockchain in IoT ecosystem. The result expected to show Blockhain model and use-cases that could be integrated into IoT.
