- Malaria is an infectious disease caused by mosquito Anopheles spp. Malaria can attack anyone, especially people who are at high risk like: pregnant mother, child and baby, subdistrict Kualuh Leidong District of North Labuhanbatu is area of endemic malaria in 2008 AMI was 45,56‰, in 2009 as 50,94‰, and in 2010 as 105,69‰. This research aim to to analyse influence of child sosiodemografi, mother behavioral and environment to the incidence of malaria. This research was an observational analytic study design with a Matched Case Control Study with a sample of cases and controls amounted to 102 people who living in Subdistrict Kualuh Leidong District of North Labuhanbatu. Data analysis methods used include univariate, bivariate with Chi-square and multivariate analysis using logistic multiple regression test. Result of research indicate that by signifikan p value < 0,05 malaria influenced by knowledge of mother, mother attitude and practice of mother, distance between of house, under brush of wood, using of mosquito net, use of anti-mosquito. While the most dominant variable have an effect on was use of mosquito net with 393,7 times the risk if it does not save a mosquito net. Expected to Public Health Service District of North Labuhanbatu through Center of Public Health Service Tanjung Leidong to increase promotion, prevention and promotion of the public about the dangers of malaria and the impact if the exposure as well as providing mosquito nets, especially for people who are at high risk. The mother was expect to always pay attention to their children while doing activities in the evening by wearing long sleeves and long pants, to put up anti-mosquito when studying, sleeping and using mosquito nets to avoid mosquito bites.
