- The title of this paper is “Analisis Tokoh Utama Dalam Novel Pearl of China Karya Anchee Min Berdasarkan Pendekatan Struktural”. In this paper, the writer is trying to analyze the main character from novel Pearl of China based on structural approach. There are some concepts have written in chapter two, they are novel and intrinsic element of the novels. The theory used in this paper is structural theory that is used to analysis relationship between the main character and intrinsic element in a novel. The methodology used on the research to describe the data is descriptive. In the last chapter, the result of the analysis shows intrinsic elements of the novels Pearl of China and the relationship between the main character and intrinsic elements .
