- Evaluation is a process to guess a land potential for a kind used alternatif. The observation that the purpose to know the land suitability class of ricefield in some village in Tanjung Morawa District, Regency Deli Serdang. The observation at Wonosari Village, 8. Tanjung Mulia Village and Bangunsari Village. This observation doing from June until November 2004. The observation begin from bibliography research, collecting data that related to the using of the land, then the location survey, then making profil with the depth of 0-25 cm and 25-50 cm take to analyze. Data analizing are soil drainage, annnual rainfull, soil depth, topography, nutrient availibility indeks sues as N, P, K, pH and soil salinity potential. The result of the observation showing the class of land suitability of Wonosari 8 Village to first soil sample (Pi) and second soil sample (Pa) are moderately suitable. The land suitability class from Tanjung Mulia Village to first soil sample (Pi) is marginally suitable and second soil sample (P2) is moderately suitable. The land suitability class of Bangunsari Village to first soil sample (Pi) is marginally suitable and second soil sample (P2) is moderately suitable.
