- Biological control on late blight of potatoes (Phytophthora infestans) in the field by using antagonistic microorganismo has never been made although it is an alternative to improve the control measure. The objebctive of this research Is to observe the effectiveness of antagonistic fungi in controlling the late blight (P. infestans) of potatoes (Sotanum tuberosum L). The method used was non-factorial group random sampling with six treatments, which AO = control, A1 = Trichoderma koningii, A2 ■ Trichoderma harzianum, A3 = Trichoderma viridae, A4 = Gliocladium^ virens with dosage of 50 ml/I water respectively and conidia density of 10 conidia/ml, and A5 * Fungicides Propamacarb hydrocloride (Previcur N) with dosage of 2 cc/l water. The variables observed were diseases percentage (%), diseases intensity (%) and production (kg/plot). The result of research indicated that treatment of several antagonistic fungi treated were significantly different. The lowest diseases persentage was T. koningii (A1) (78,97 %) and the highest diseases persentage was is T. harzianum, T. viridae and G. virens (90 %). The diseases intensity indicated that treatments of several antagonistic fungi was different significantly. The lowest disease intensity was treatment with T. koningii (52,62 %) and the highest one was treatment with G. virens ( 70,80 %). Compared to fungicide propamacarb hidrocloride (48,82 %). The highest mean of potatoes products with antagonistic fungi treatments was T. koningii (19,81 kg/plot), and the lowest one was in T. viridae (12,86 kg/plot). The products of grade A was significantly different compared to grade B and it is not significantly different to grade C. The highest production of grade A was in treatments T. koningii (12,0 kg/plot), and highest of grade B was in treatment with T. koningii and G.virens (5,5 kg/plot respectively).
