- The purposes of this research was to test the effect of growing media and Super Bionik Liquid fertilizer on tiic growing of cocoa seedling and to find the replacement for top soil as growing in the nursery, which was done at it. Pintu Air IV Gg. Ternak Simalingkar B, Med an from March until July 2004. this research was using Complete Randomized Block Design with 2 treatment, the first factor was growing media consisting of 3 levels: M0 (andosol top soil), Mi (andosol sub soil : sand : composed chicken-waste = 4.1:1). The second factor was Super Bionik Liquid fertilizer consisting of 4 levels: So (0%), Si (0,2%), S2 (0,4%), S? (0,6%), with 12 treatments combination and 3 replications. Growing media caused significant effect on seedling height, stem diameter, numbers of leaves, total leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight on 14 MST. Super Bionik Liquid fertilizer caused insignificant effect on seedling height, stem diameter, numbers of leaves, total leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight on 14 MST. Interaction of growing media and Super Bionik Liquid fertilizer caused insignificant effect on seedling height, stem diameter, numbers of leaves, total leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight on 14 MST.
