  • In previous ten years, there is a sicnificant development of QR comparing with others two-dimensional codes, for examples are Pdf147, Datamatrix, and Maxicode. QR Code is a two-dimensional matrix code which consist of a collection black and white modules those are arranged into a larger square. In a QR Code, the amount of data can be stored up 7089 numerical characters, or 4296 for alphanumeric characters. QR Code has some advantages which contained in other code. They are like : small printing area, high speed reading, and high data capacity. The processing is starting at reading out data amount, giving indicator mode, this way is used to know what kind of data is submitted. Afterwards version for QR Code. As a core processing is how to change the data into 8 bit binary or in codeword. To correct the distortion which caused by damage or dirty, QR Code has prepared Reed-Solomon error correction to correct up to 30 % distortion. For data bit allocation, bit 1 representation of black module and bit 0 representation white module. The summary of this research is, a QR Code can store data more than the same codes and printout area are smaller with same data input, also if data is kept larger will increase the version of QR Code.
