- Drug abuse is rampant occurred among students. The incidence of drug abuse in the city of Medan on high school students are in the area of Medan Halvetia police. Data from January to December of 2009, the Drug Unit Poltabes Medan censure majority of drug users among high school students with a total 591 people. The most worrying problem of drug use teenagers’ contracting and transmitting HIV/ AIDS, has proven of drug use through needle in turn. Factors that play an important role in drug control efforts is peer education. The approach taken in combating drugs is instructive to students, through efforts to change behavior, especially the knowledge and attitudes. The research was a quasi-experiment which was aimed to analyze the influence of the same-aged group training of teenagers’ so that they have the knowledge and attitude about the risk of using drugs. The population in this study are all teenage high school students Kecamatan Medan Helvetia. The sample of adolescent students study all the class 11 of SMA Negeri (public high school) 12 and of SMA (private high school) Markus, Medan, amounting to 188 people consisting of 18 people as peer educators and 170 people as research respondents. Data obtained from the statistical test results showed that influence of the same-aged group training on knowledge about the risk of using drugs of teenagers’ with p value 0.000 (p<0.05), and the influence of the same-aged group training on attitudes about the risk of using drugs of teenagers’ with p value 0.002 (p<0.05). It was recommended that the School to increase the role of teacher mentors and same age group educator, to give guidance to students on the prevention of drug abuse.
