- The novel is one of prose that tells a story and experiences, thoughts, feelings, ideas, spirits, and contains a spesific message to the reader. Sidney Sheldon is a famous writer from Britain who has written many novels, one of which is The Morning, Noon and Night. The author chooses this novel to be analyzed because of Sidney Sheldon’s novel is a masterpiece in English Literature. Sidney Sheldon’s novel tells the story about Harry Stanford, a very wealthy man and his three children are legimate ( Tyler Stanford, Kendall Stanford and Woody Stanford) and an illegitimate daughter of Harry Stanford (Julia Stanford). Harry Stanford drowned while sailing with his yacht in the coast of Corsica. He was leaved the estate very much. While division the estate, there are many problems that is the appearance of an illegitimate daughter from Harry Stanford suddenly makes everyone confused . There are many aspects that we can see from this novel. Starting from the character of Harry Stanford is very determined to strive to become millionaires and character his four children who each contrary to each other. In working on this paper, the method pursued is the study of literature by using the books as relevant sources and information from the Internet. As for analyzing the novel, the author applies an approach that focuses on text analysis.
