  • Based on Oldeman Rainfall classification North Sumatra Province is divided on the basis of 7 (seven) areas, in which, each regions (areas) will be tested to obtain the best model of prediction (which is) used for each region. This test uses two models of prediction, they are : Arima and ANFIS , and the result of the validation testing, each type of iklim has a different accuracy for each region. The result of the validation of the rainfall prediction model shows that ARIMA is a better model used to predict rainfall in the type A1 and D2 , while the ANFIS model is better used to predict type E1 and E2, and for the overall North Sumatra, ARIMA is a better model used to predict rainfall compared to the ANFIS model
