- On the flower bud of Jotang (Spilantes paniculata) there is Essential Oil that extracted by vapor distilation using Stahl. The composition of compound determined by GC-MS analysis and be fregmanted. On GC-MS spectrum, the results of sample analysis indicates 36 compounds. This indicated by 36 peak or compund formula by the bigger presentage (>5%) was detected on 5th peak (6,37%); 13th peak (7,54%); 18th peak (5,63%); 23th peak (5,56%); 26th peak (16,21%) and 27th peak (16,26%). Eugenol compound (anti bacteri) was detected on 4th peak in retention time 16,664 for 0,47%. The results of this research indicates that Jotang flower classified into weeds that contain esential oil and all of compound are antibacteri. Esential oil of Jotang is dissoluted in water either extracted (Isolated) using solvent.
