- This research aims to determine the effectiveness of Corynebacterium and K fertilizer to suppress the growth of crackle disease (Xanthomonas campestris pv oryzae). The research was conducted in BBI Murni Tanjung Morawa, Deli Serdang, with a height of ± 28 meters above sea level. The experiment was conducted from June 2010 to October 2010. This research used a randomized block design (RAK) factorial namely Corynebacterium density (B) consists of B0 (Control), B1 (106 bacterial cells / ml), B2 (107 bacterial cells / ml), B3 (108 bacterial cells / ml) and fertilizer K (P) consists of P0 (Control), P1 (25 gr/plot), P2 (50 gr/plot), P3 (75 gr/plot) with combination treatment of 16 and 3 replications. The results showed that the intensity of Xanthomonas campestris pv oryzae highest in B0P0 (control) was 6.36% and the lowest in B2P2 treatment (107 bacterial cells/ml to (50 gr/plot) is 0.39%. The highest production found on B3P3 (108 bacterial cells/ml with (75 gr/plot) at 11.09 tonnes / ha and lowest in B0P0 (control) at 6.85 tonnes / ha.
