  • The making of Surfactant is done by reacted Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) with methanol by using H2SO4 (p) as catalyst. Methyl ester fatty acid mixture formed reacted with urea prodeced result of fatty acid amide mixture. The result of methyl ester fatty Acid is identified by using GC and FT-IR spectroscopy, while the result of fatty acid amide mixture is analized using by FT-IR spectroscopy and to find out that fatty acid amide mixture can be used as surfactant is test by using HLB (Hidrophilic Lipophilic Balance). The test of latex is done by add fatty acid amide mixture to latex with concentration 0,03%; 0,05%; 0,07%; 0,09% in the lang of keeping 0,5,10,15,20 and 25 days and the result on keeps in 10 days with concentration 0,09% the value of Mechanical Stability Time fatty acid amide mixture is appropriate with standard ISO and ASTM. So the fatty acid amide mixture is better to be used as Surfactant. Surfactant can decrease density substance because of havois dual character. Surfactant can be used as wetting , emulsifying and solubilizing agents. The superiority of surfactant fatty acid amide mixture is renewable and naturally to be biodegradable.
