- Aborigin in the Sidikalang subdistrict Dairi regent is Pak-Pak. By the time passed away, Pak-pak community progressively shifted to the side. The most of Pak-pak people community is in the Sidiangkat district. The habit of local people for disease threatment is unique thing. Traditional threatment and medical threatment, moreover threatment itself are developed well. According to the condition, this research has aim to know the pattern of threatment seeking at the Pak-Pak people in Sidiangkat subdistrict Dairi regent Sumatera Utara at 2009. This research is done by using qualitative approach by indepth interview method. There are seven informants in this research and interview process is done in informant’s house by using vehicle of Pak-Pak language. Informant’s statement in this research describes that there are four patterns of threatment seeking is developed at local Pak-pak people. Doing the threatment itself to the disease suffered by using traditional threatment, making use of modern medical threatment and combining the kind of traditional threatment and the modern medical threatment on the certain disease in order to cure the disease suffered. Universally, the most dominant of threatment seeking done by people by using threatment itself. Commonly, people have knowledge and specific technique to gather medicine that appropriate with its disease by making use the substances in around environment, so that the pattern of threatment seeking become dominant. Seeing this big potency and excellent benefit, via Health Department and also Education and Civilization Department and local people helping hoped can preserve that technique by embracing become a book, so that can add nation book and be developed also bequeathed to ther people.
