- Bamboos are plant trat has important utility for life. Good bamboo have several characteristic : strength stem, straight, feat, easy to be formad, easy to splittled, easy to be picked up. Besides trat, bamboos relatively cheaper than the other building material because it is faund around the settlement of villages. Now a days, bamboo become multifunction plant for human. There are 75 genus and 1500 species of bamboo in the world Indonesia there are 10 genus of bamboo, among others are ; Arundinaria, Bambusa, Dendrocalamus, Dinochloa, Gigantochloa, Melocanna, Nastus, Phyllostachys, Schizostachyum, dan Thyrsostachys. One of bamboo species that human is used after are bambu tali or bambu apus. Thes bamboos is included in Gigantochloa genus. Bamboo which we are popularity know generally is bamboo cluster type. But, there is grow as a soliter stem as clump. There are two general patterns gor the growth of bamboo ; Clum type (sympodial), and Runnig type (monopodial). Several things that we need to be noticed are condition of growth. Multiplication of plant, procedure of planting and selection of plant. Condition of environment influence the growth of bamboos. Bamboo can grow well on soil with acid reaction with pH 3,5 and requices soil with pH 5,0-6,5, On fertile soil, Bamboo will grow well because necessity of plant will be fulfilled. Purposes of this research were the growtn of utilization of bamboo neither potential nor harvesting methode and management by the inhabitants. Data collection with field observation method, kuisioner, interview, literature study and data analyze. Data which collected were analyzed with qualitative methode to give the appropriate explaining with result in field research. Generally, management of bamboos ini this area need integrated management because the potential and production were maximize manage yet.
