  • Transesterification of castor oil (ricinus communis) to fatty acid methyl ester with CaO and MgO as a catalysator by variation of mol ratio, time reaction and catalyst was carried out. The maximum condition of transesterification reaction used CaO as a catalyst was obtained by using mol ratio of methanol to castor oil (ricinus communis) 12 : 1 (mol/mol), temperature 650C and time reaction 6 hours was found 90,03 %
