- North Sumatera is one of potential regions in Indonesia in macro economy perspective, North Sumatera has many man power, but man power is only one of the factors in developing a region, and for North Sumatera Gross Domestic Regional Product in industrial sector is one of the most important factors This research used Investment, Gross Domestic Regional Product, Inflation, and Wage as independent variables and job opportunity as dependent variable. Data was estimated using multiple linier regression and Ordinary Least Square method. The result showed Investment, Gross Domestic Regional Product, and Inflation had positive impact on job opportunity, meanwhile Wage had negative impact on job opportunity in North Sumatera, and Inflation had the least impact, and Investment had the most impact.
