- Gifshuffle algorithm is a steganography algorithm which can conceal message to GIF files based on the change of colours sorting in GIF’s colour palette. This algorithm relies on fact that the ordering of the colours in the colourmap of a GIF does not affect the way that image is displayed. The aplication made on this research not only implemented Gifshuffle algorithm, but also implemented cryptography algorithm Affine Cipher to make it harder for the steganalysis to retrieve the original message. The weakness of Gifshuffle algorithm is the message length is really restricted because the maximum number of colours on GIF’s palette colours is 256. The advantage of this algorithm is its satisfactory imperceptibility aspect (the difference between original image and image after message concealing can not be seen visibly).
