- This article discusses the interesting ideological phenomenon in the Erdemubayu Discourse of Batak Karo (WEBK). Erdemubayu is a marriage ceremony that still exists in Kabupaten Karo. WEBK represents social marking which has the selected ideology. On the basic of the logonomic system, WEBK represents the ideological behavior (1) ideology of ways of sitting, (2) speech ideology, (3) ideology self positioning, (4) ideology of gender construction, and (5) pronominal ideology concerned with power and solidarity.
