- Inclusion a completely randomized design with six treatment (the the level of buah tanjung meal 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25% in ration) was employed to study the effect of the the buah tanjung meal on Japanese Quail’s feed consumption (g/quail/week), body weight gain (g/quail/week) and feed convertion ration. Each treatment was repeated 4 times. All rations were formulated to be iso nutrients. Each ration was fed to 96 day old quail (doq), divided in 24 cages (4 doq/cage).Feed and water were given ad-libitum during the 6 weeks trial. Avarage feed consumption is 74,89 g/quail/week, avarage body weight gain is 19,20 g/quail/week and avarage FCR is 3,88. The results showed that the buah tanjung meal significant effect on feed consumption (P<0,05), and significantly on body weight gain and feed convertion ration (P<0,01).
