- A study on effect of fungicide application to germination of FMA spore has been carried out. The objective of research is to know the effect of fungicide application to the germination of FMA spore. To examine the fungicide effect, a complete factorial random design was used. Two fungicides with different active compounds, i.e., phosphit acid and metalaxil were used at concentrations of 0.04%, 0.12%, 0.20% and 0.0525%, 0.0875%, 0.1225%, respectively. Water was used as control. These two fungicides were applied for 2 spore types, i.e., Gigaspora margarita and Acaulospora tuberculata. The result showed that increasing concentration of the two fungicides gave an effect on inhibiting germination but not preventing the germination of Gigaspora margarita without host plant or with host plant. On the other hand, spore of Acaulospora tuberculata did not germinate without host plant. However it still germinated with host plant.
