- Research is purposed to find out the growth response of some varieties of soy bean (Glycine max L.) to NaCl concentrate with in vitro. This research was held in Plant Biotechnology Laboratory at Agriculture Faculty Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, started from April 2009 until June 2009. The design use Completely Randomized Design with 2 aspects. The first aspect is NaCl concentrate, those are 0 ppm, 1000 ppm, 2000 ppm, and 3000 ppm. The second aspects is varieties of soy bean those are Wilis, Tidar, Anjasmoro, Sinabung, Galungggung, and Kaba. NaCl concentrate perform real effects to long root, and amount of leaves, but not gave any influenced to height planlet, amount of root branch, total weight planlet and weight root. The varieties of soy bean not gave to any parameters. Interaction between NaCl concentrate with varieties of soy bean not gave response to all parameters.
