- Investment is one important components to process development of North Sumatra chartered investment counsel which can reach target for creation of public prosperity, this research benefit to clarify factors influencing capital investment in country and gives insight and input for local government in formulating chartered investment counsel polic. For analyzing the influence interest rate, PDRB perkapita, and labor force to PMDN is used OLS method. The source data comes from BPS-Statistics of Sumatera Utara Province, Bank Indonesia branch of Medan, and others sources references that relate to this research. The data used in this research is time series data from 1985 to 2006 (22 years). This research is hoped be able to give the description of information accurately about the influence interest rate, PDRB perkapita, and laor force to PMDN. The result of the research shows that the interest rate, PDRB perkapita, and labor force give a significance influence to PMDN with a determinant coefficient (R2) 88%.
