- The investigation about the influence of composition charcoal from palm shells and carbon black to the quality of shoes sole compound has been carried out. The variety composition charcoal from palm shell and carbon black were 0:100, 20:80, 40:60, 60:40, 80:20, 100:0. The shoes sole compound was made by mixing Rubber SIR-20,charcoal from palm shells and carbon black and with added TMTD,MBTS, ZnO, stearic acid, cameuron resin, pinetar, BHT, paraffin wax, and sulfur were mixture on open mill during 6-7 minutes, then the compound was vulcanization at 1600C by using Rheometer . The compound testing mechanic such elongation break, tensile strength, tear resistance, modulus, and analysis of surface. The result showed mechanic testing was comparable with SNI 12-0172-1987.
