- Coroner Heart Disease (CHD) is the main cause of death in some countries, include Indonesia. Department of Health Republic of Indonesia on 2005, PMR 2,67%. In Central Java province on 2005, CHD’s proportion is about 19,54%. For knowing the suffer’s characteristic of Coroner Heart Disease who are treated in Dr. Pirngadi Medan General Hospital on 2003-2006, has been done descriptive research with case series design. Population in this research is 1.041 suffer’s datas with 287 datas as samples, and was taken with simple random sampling. The characteristic of CHD suffer based on the highest proportion of sociodemographi ; age > 55 years old 64,1%, men 65,5%; Islam 50,9%, Batak’s Tribe 73,2%; mariage status 97,9%; Senior High School Education Level 36,6%; Civil Servent 29,6%; Location in Medan 77,7%; the highest number of suffer’s complain that is chest pain 85,7%, have no the past of diseases’ story 63,1%; based on normal blood pressure 54,7% ; doses of blood sugar when fasting and 2 hours after eating normally is about 90,6%, normal of total colesterol doses 80,8%, doses of normal LDL colesterol 81,9%, doses of normal HDL colesterol 79,8%, doses of normal Trigliserida colesterol 85,4%. The average treatment time 7,13 days and home treatment 57,5%. There is no differences of age proportion based on sex (p=0,901), and the average treatment time based on the past diseases’ story (p=0,599). For the Dr.Pirngadi General Hospital is suggested so that make the medical records are being completed particularly of suffer’s medical condition. To all of peoples who are in age > 45 years old must be carefull to Coroner Heart Disease risk factors. To suffers who are having hypertency disease are doing blood pressure controlling.
