- Mangrove is a characteristic form of brackish plants, estuaries, and deltas which is protected area from tropical and sub-tropical. Mangrove has various functions including the ecological functions of mangrove forests such as nesting places, spawning and enlargement of various types of fish, shrimp, crab, birds and other fauna. This study was proposed to determine mangrove ecosystems service to produce molting of mangrove crab (Scylla serrata) and schrimp tiger (Penaeus monodon) in silvofishery ponds. Research on mangrove crab molting using a completely randomized design with 4 levels of treatment namely mutilation, popey, mutation + popey and control with 3 replications and silvofishery of tiger shrimp using density on the pond. The highest growth rate is mutilation (moulting percentage 80.95%, and 100% survival, LPS 12.51% / day) and lowest mutation + popey (LPS 4.95% / day, moulting percentage 19.05%, LPS 4, 95% / of the day). In silvofishery ponds the amount of shrimp production is 3.2 kg. The differences in molting stimulation affect the percentage of molting.
- Mangrove merupakan suatu karakteristik bentuk dari tanaman air payau, estuari atau muara sungai, dan delta di tempat yang terlindung dari daerah tropis dan sub tropis. Mangrove memiliki berbagai fungsi diantaranya yaitu fungsi ekologi hutan mangrove seperti tempat bersarang, pemijahan dan pembesaran berbagai jenis ikan, udang, kepiting, burung dan fauna lain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jasa ekosistem mangrove terhadap produksi molting kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) dan udang windu (Penaeus monodon) dalam tambak silvofishery. Penelitian molting kepiting bakau menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 taraf perlakuan yakni mutilasi, popey, mutilasi+popey dan kontrol dengan masing-masing 3 ulangan dan silvofishery udang windu dengan menggunakan kerapatan pada tambak. Laju pertumbuhan tertinggi yaitu mutilasi (persentase molting 80,95%, dan kelulushidupan 100%, Laju Pertumbuhan Spesifik (LPS) 12,51%/hari) dan terendah mutilasi+popey (LPS 4,95%/hari, persentase molting 19,05%, LPS 4,95%/hari). Pada tambak silvofishery jumlah produksi udang yaitu 3,2 kg. Perbedaan perangsangan molting berpengaruh terhadap persentase molting.
