Formulasi Sediaan Krim Ekstrak Etanol Daun Nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) Sebagai Anti-Aging

  • Background: There are many plants that can be a source of natural antioxidants. The ability of flavonoids as antioxidants has been studied, in which flavonoids have the ability to change or reduce free radicals and also as an anti-free radical. One of the plants that can be used as an antioxidant isjackfruit leaf. Antioxidant potential as an anti-aging. Objective: The purpose of this study to formulate a ethanol extract of jackfruit leaf in cream, and evaluation test the effectiveness of anti-aging on the skin of the back of the hands of volunteers. Method: The cream is formulated by adding the ethanol extract of jackfruit leaf each with a concentration of 2, 4, 6, 8% on a vanishing cream base. Evaluation of anti-aging cream preparations include homogeneity, pH, stability, irritation and anti-aging effectiveness by using a skin analyzer for four weeks. The parameters measured in the skin analyzer include moisture, evenness, pores, spot stains, wrinkles and wrinkle's depth. Measurements were taken once a week for four weeks. Results: The evaluation results of ethanol extract of jackfruit leaf cream was stable in 12 weeks storage at room temperature. The homogeneity test of the dosage showed homogeneous cream, the pH of the obtained value was 5.4-5.9. The results of evaluation the ethanol extract of jackfruit leaf cream showed effectiveness as good anti-aging after 4 weeks treatment. The results showed that 8% formula cream increased the moisture of 9.3% and evenness of 8%, reduced of 15% pores and wrinkle of 22.4%, removed of 18.7% spots. Conclusion: Ethanol extract of jackfruit leaf can be formulated in cream. Cream from ethanol extract of jackfruit leaf of 8% have the best anti-aging effectiveness.
  • Latar Belakang: Ada banyak tanaman yang dapat menjadi sumber antioksidan alami. Kemampuan flavonoid sebagai antioksidan telah banyak diteliti, dimana flavonoid memiliki kemampuan sebagai anti radikal bebas.Salah satu daun yang dapat digunakan sebagai antioksidan adalah daun nangkayang berpotensi sebagai anti-aging. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memformulasi ekstrak etanol daun nangka dalam bentuk sediaan krim, serta menguji efektivitas anti-aging terhadap kulit punggung tangan sukarelawan. Metode: Krim diformulasikan dengan menambahkan ekstrak daun nangka masing-masing dengan konsentrasi 2, 4, 6, 8% pada basis krim vanishing. Pengujian terhadap sediaan krim anti-aging meliputi pemeriksaan homogenitas, pH, stabilitas, iritasi dan efektivitas anti-aging dengan menggunakan alat skin analyzer selama empat minggu. Pengukuran parameter pada alat skin analyzer meliputi kadar air (moisture), kehalusan (evenness), besar pori (pore), banyaknya noda (spot), keriput (wrinkle) dan kedalaman keriput (wrinkle’s depth). Pengukuran dilakukan sekali dalam seminggu selama empat minggu. Hasil:. Hasil evaluasi krim ekstrak etanol daun nangka stabil dalam penyimpanan 12 minggu pada suhu kamar. Pemeriksaan homogenitas sediaan menunjukkan krim homogen, pH sediaan diperoleh nilai 5,4-5,9. Hasil pemeriksaan sediaan krim etanol daun nangka menunjukkan efektivitasnya sebagai anti-aging yang baik setelah perawatan 4 minggu. Hasil data menunjukkan krim formula 8% meningkatkan kadar air (moisture) 9,3%, kehalusan (evenness) 8%, mengurangi besar pori (pore) 15%, menghilangkan noda (spot) 18,7%, dan mengurangi keriput (wrinkle) 22,4%. Kesimpulan: Ekstrak etanol daun nangka dapat diformulasikan dalam sediaan krim. Sediaan krim ekstrak etanol daun nangka dengan konsentrasi 8% memiliki efektivitas anti-aging yang paling baik.
