- The effect of application of cattle dung in the form of compost and biochar on P available and P uptake of corn plants on Ultisol was carried out to determine the comparison of the two types of treatment forms. The study used a nonfactorial randomized block design with dosage levels of cattle dung compost material and cattle dung biochar (5, 10, 15 tons / ha). The parameters measured are pH H2O, pH KCl, P available, organic C, total P, Al-dd, plant height, shoot dry weight, root dry weight and P uptake of plants. The results showed that cattle dung compost and cattle dung biochar were able to increase the pH of H2O, pH of KCl, P available, P total, organic C, plant height, shoot dry weight, root dry weight and P uptake of plants and were able to reduce Al-dd. Cattle dung biochar is better in increasing available P, H2O pH, KCl pH, and total P of Ultisol than cattle dung compost.
- Pengaruh aplikasi kotoran sapi dalam bentuk kompos dan biochar terhadap P tersedia dan serapan P tanaman jagung pada Ultisol dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kedua jenis bentuk perlakuan. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan acak kelompok nonfaktorial dengan tingkat dosis bahan kompos kotoran sapi dan biochar kotoran sapi (5, 10,15 ton/ha). Parameter yang diukur adalah pH H2O, pH KCl, P tersedia, C organik, P total, Al dd, tinggi tanaman, bobot kering tajuk, bobot kering akar dan serapan P tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kompos kotoran sapi dan biochar kotoran sapi mampu meningkatkan pH H2O, pH KCl, P tersedia, P total, C organik, tinggi tanaman, bobot kering tajuk, bobot kering akar dan serapan P tanaman jagung serta mampu menurunkan Al-dd tanah. Biochar kotoran sapi lebih baik dalam meningkatkan P tersedia, pH H2O, pH KCl, dan P total Ultisol dibandingkan kompos kotoran sapi.
