- The use of bamboo for medicine have not been widely known. This paper report the results of studies on bamboo utilization for medicine performed in Bangli District of Bali Province.The method used in this study are interview and exploration.Interview method to know some species bamboo which has potency as medicine and practice of usefulness.Exploration method to collect some species bamboo which has potency as medicine in Bangli District Bali Province.There are six speciesbamboo which has potency as medicine showed that the yield was Bambu Tali (Gigantochloa apus), Bambu Tamblang Gading ( Schizostachyum brachycladum), Bambu Ampel Gadang (Bambusa vulgaris var. vulgaris), Bambu Ampel Gading (Bambusa vulgaris var.stricta), Bambu Jajang Aya ( Gigantochloa aya), Bambu Petung (Dendrocalamus asper). This research will have needed advanced research to determine active compound in bamboo until produce the drugs from bamboo raw material.
