- Elastomeric impression material is used usually to fabricate a crown. Considering the high cost, different impression technique but have the same accuracy was found. 60 working models taking from two different impression techniques were used in this study. The first 30 models were taken with a usual double silicon impression technique, and the other 30 models were taken with double impression techniques using silicon and alginate. The exact measurement of the marginal master crown in accordance to the master model was observed by the Electric Measuring Microscope MM-40 Nikon, Japan in buccal and palatal area. The exact contact point in mesial and distal side was determined by the matrix band. The "t' test showed that there was no significant difference in the marginal fitness and the accuracy of the contact points from the two different impression techniques. It was concluded that the two technical impressions had the same accuracy.
