  • Maxillary cuspid is the third most frequently impacted tooth after maxillary and mandibular third molar. There are factors for impacted maxillary cuspids which are minimal eruption of cupids tooth distance to the normal occlusion space in dental arch. The majority of these cases are found in females frequently on the palatal site and horizontal. More over, the tooth location are deeply embedded, horizontal and palatally impacted maxillary cuspid which is close to the macillary sinus or nasal cavity. Sometimes, the root separated from the macillary sinus and nasal cavity by a thin partition of the cilliated epithelial lining of the maxillary sinus, therefore, complication due to removal of impacted maxillary cuspids become higher. To prevent complication, an appropriate management should be started from a carefully radiographic evaluation to define a relaitonship between cuspids and adjacent teeth, and maxillary sinus to the operative procedure.
