- Oromaxillofacial infection is still a common case in daily dental practice. Usually, teeth are the sources of infection. Oromaxillofacial infection is usually mild, easily treated, and may only require the administration of antibiotics. If it is not treated appropriately, it will become severe, or be more complex that requires the hospitalization. A general practitioner dentist must understand the management of this infection in early stage to prevent the infection from becoming severe. This article will be comprehensively discussing the management of oromaxillofacial infection by general practitioner dentist.
