- Information about power system voltage stability is needed in power system operation and planning. To know whether the power system have voltage stable or not, an indicator of voltage stability is needed. One voltage stability indicator had been proposed is minimum singular value of Jacobian matrix of load flow equation. This research aims to find the minimum singular value of Jacobian matrix of load flow equation as accurate as possible. Load flow solution with Newton-Raphson method and sparsity techniques were used in this research. MATLAB software is used to find the minimum singular value of Jacobian matrix of load flow equation and to show simulation results. Simulation results show that minimum singular value becomes smaller if there were some disturbances at power systems. Simulation results for IEEE 14 bus case test show the minimum singular value decrease from 0.5468 to 0.3614, if one generator loss and two branchs out of service.
